Searching the Tinsman Court Docket
Begin with whatever paper started the case. That means the court name and the issuing agency. It also means the case or citation number, the cited or party name, and the date. From there, Search ARCourts gives you two options, one for cases and one for participants. The public portal lists CALHOUN CIRCUIT but shows no Calhoun district location. Rely on it only when the search returns the court that actually holds the filing.
- Copy the complete identifier, including dashes and prefixes.
- Search Cases by case number or citation number and select Calhoun County.
- Use a participant or organization search when no identifier is known.
- Verify each result through court, type, date, description, and judge.
- If a Tinsman lower matter is missing, call the city-side or county-side Hampton clerk shown by the citation.
The filing clerk is still your best check. Ask that office to confirm the latest setting, where the counter sits now, and how to order plain or certified copies. AOC staff can explain how the portal works, but only the court itself can answer questions about a specific file.
Tinsman Dockets at Small Scale
Tinsman is tiny. The 2020 incorporated-place table put its population at 50. That is the smallest of any incorporated place in Calhoun County. A town that size runs no court administration of its own. The Arkansas Judiciary directory lists none for Tinsman. Instead, its court docket work is handled by the district and circuit offices in Hampton.
Small towns like Tinsman run on a different plan. You classify the court first, then work the Calhoun County docket from the offices that actually keep the records, since no town portal exists for a place this size.
Tinsman Municipal Court Basics
No Tinsman municipal or town court exists. The state directory points instead to Calhoun County District Court, split into City Cases and County Cases, both in Hampton. A "Tinsman court docket" means cases tied to the town, not a set of records stored at a Tinsman office.
City Cases handles city and ordinance cases, traffic, misdemeanors, and assigned limited civil matters. Chief Clerk Laura Evans takes calls at 870-798-2753 or mail at P.O. Box 783, Hampton, AR 71744. County Cases covers county traffic and misdemeanors, preliminary felony matters, small claims, and assigned lower civil work. Chief Clerk Scilar Ray can be reached at 870-798-2165 or P.O. Box 864, Hampton, AR 71744.
Tinsman City or County Cases
Which division holds your case depends on who issued the filing. Never assume it from the word Tinsman. A city-side filing lands in City Cases; a county-issued filing lands in County Cases. Judge Tom Wynne presides over both. But each division keeps its own chief clerk, mail address, phone, fax, and docket files.
| Clue | Likely first call | Confirm |
|---|---|---|
| City Cases named | 870-798-2753 | Laura Evans's filing division |
| County Cases named | 870-798-2165 | Scilar Ray's filing division |
| CALHOUN CIRCUIT named | 870-798-2517 | Jeanie Smith's Circuit Clerk office |
| Unclear issuing authority | Either district clerk for routing | Give citation number and agency |
The divisions publish no counter street address or schedule. Before you drive to Hampton, call and ask about the entrance, business hours, document rules, payment forms, and accessibility.
Court Dates and Settings in Tinsman
Tinsman posts no town calendar of its own. If a filing is covered by the portal, Search ARCourts shows a Future Events section. Open the case detail and check that newest event against the Docket Entries below it. A reset, continuance, amended notice, or cancellation can replace an earlier date. It does not wipe the date from the history.
| Date | The latest active event or court-confirmed date. |
|---|---|
| Time | The current docket call or hearing time. |
| Location | The Hampton-based court address confirmed with the clerk. |
| Judge | The judicial official assigned in the current record. |
| Setting Type | The event label used by the court, such as arraignment, hearing, plea, or trial. |
The town offers no remote-hearing link or local notice board. When instructions from the court conflict with your calendar or an old portal entry, the court wins.
Older Tinsman Docket Records
Calhoun County keeps records from 1850 forward, but the electronic era arrived late. Circuit e-filing grew over the last decade. Statewide circuit e-filing wrapped up in 2023. Search ARCourts then started replacing Public CourtConnect in 2024. A Tinsman-area case can easily predate the portal by decades.
For an older civil, criminal, probate, or family record, contact the Circuit Clerk. Give the clerk the name and case type. Include the approximate year and any index or case number you know. Ask whether the file remains at the historic courthouse, sits in paper or microfilm, or has moved to an archive. A digital no-match often means offline storage, not a sealed record.
Note: Historic docket books are only indexes. Request the named filing or order when you need the full document.
Traffic Tickets in Tinsman
Read the court name and response date printed on any Tinsman citation. City-side ticket questions go to 870-798-2753; county-side questions go to 870-798-2165. Calhoun is absent from the current verified Arkansas eTraffic participant list. Tinsman offers no online payment option.
Ask the clerk for the amount, deadline, accepted payment method, payee, and how to contest the ticket. In a participating statewide workflow, paying can waive trial and appearance. So do not treat payment as a lookup step. No Tinsman course or deferred-disposition terms are published. The Calhoun County Traffic Tickets page explains the citation fields and the failure-to-appear warning.
Missing ticket warning: do not let a response date pass while waiting for a public portal match. Contact the filing district clerk.
Tinsman Docket Copy Requests
Order copies from the clerk who holds the original Tinsman case. A solid request names the case or citation number, the parties, the filing division, the exact entry date, plain or certified copies, how many, and your return contact. Before mailing any money, ask about the fee, accepted payment, payee, postage, and retrieval time.

Tinsman Court System Boundaries
The Western District's El Dorado location is part of the federal court system.

That court does not hold Tinsman traffic or ordinance records, which stay with the state District Court clerks. The Arkansas bankruptcy court maintains federal bankruptcy dockets instead.

This federal source matters only for an actual bankruptcy filing. It does not replace a Tinsman-area state court docket search.
Where Tinsman Cases Go
Lower-level Tinsman cases land in Hampton City Cases or County Cases. Felonies and general civil matters belong to the Calhoun County Circuit Court instead. Domestic relations, juvenile cases, and probate filings go there too. A district decision can get appealed. The circuit docket may then open under a new number with fresh entries.
Docket flow: Tinsman-area City Cases or County Cases › Calhoun County Circuit Court › Arkansas appellate courts
The federal Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals belongs to a separate hierarchy.

The image distinguishes federal appellate access from the Arkansas state appeal path.
Tinsman Federal Record Limits
The official Western District U.S. Attorney page concerns federal prosecutions.

A federal record search has its limits. It is not evidence of a Tinsman municipal court, and it will not surface a local ticket. Match the court to the filing: Tinsman lower matters sit in District Court, serious state matters in Circuit Court, and only federal cases in federal docket sources. That simple classification prevents false no-match results.
Tinsman Court Record Access Rules
Arkansas court-record access runs on one main rule. Arkansas Supreme Court Administrative Order 19 governs what the public can see, shielding confidential categories and identifiers from disclosure. Juvenile files, sealed records, adoption or protected family material, and anything closed by law, rule, or order may never appear in an ordinary public search. What the rule protects stays out of view.
Tinsman access rule: an empty online search is not proof of sealing. Check the filing court, spelling, date, and offline holdings with the clerk.
The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act applies to public records generally. Court case records answer chiefly to AO19 and court authority. Ask the holding clerk about public inspection, mail service, or a certified copy. Older paper records can take longer to retrieve than an electronic docket. Plan for that wait.
Tinsman Docket No-Match Steps
A Tinsman record absent online may still exist. Check the Tinsman number character by character, prefixes and dashes included. Try a participant name next. Drop the middle name, widen the dates, and remove any case-type limit. Keep Calhoun County selected. If the portal's list leaves out the Tinsman filing district, it simply cannot finish the Tinsman search.
Then take the question to the office that actually holds the record. Call City Cases at 870-798-2753 for a Tinsman city-side filing, County Cases at 870-798-2165 for a county-side lower matter, or the Circuit Clerk at 870-798-2517 for a general-jurisdiction case. Then give the issuing authority, number, name, and date. Ask whether the file is new, archived, outside coverage, or restricted.
Before leaving Tinsman for public inspection, confirm the counter, business hours, security process, accessibility route, and copy cutoff. The town offers no public terminal or kiosk. For a mail request, get the fee, payment form, payee, postage requirements, and turnaround.
Portal support and Tinsman filing-court help are two different things. AOC handles how the system runs, while the clerk verifies events and produces records. And a Tinsman no-match never cancels a citation date, proves dismissal, or establishes sealing.
Reading Tinsman Docket Entries
A Tinsman docket is a chronological index. The “Tinsman Docket Entries” section names filed papers and court events, and “Future Events” lists upcoming Tinsman settings. A disposition states how a charge or case ended. A continuance or reset only moves a date. It does not dismiss the Tinsman case, so read newer entries before acting on an old event.
- Tinsman Case Number
- The court-assigned identifier; preserve all punctuation and any prefix.
- Tinsman Citation Number
- The ticket identifier used in a Cases search where the court participates.
- Tinsman Order
- A judge's written direction or ruling.
- Tinsman Certified Copy
- A clerk-attested copy, distinct from a public portal printout.
A selected Tinsman filing may offer a public image link. If the link is absent, that does not mean the clerk lacks the document. When you request the full item, name the entry date and description.
Tinsman Circuit Docket Route
Serious state matters near Tinsman never stay in a town file. Felonies and general civil actions belong to Calhoun County Circuit Court. Domestic relations, juvenile cases, and probate proceedings go there too. Search ARCourts lists CALHOUN CIRCUIT, so a public Tinsman circuit lookup can start there. Apply the county and location filters. Then verify the case type, filing date, judge, and description.
Circuit Clerk Jeanie Smith keeps the official record at P.O. Box 1175, Hampton, AR 71744, phone 870-798-2517. Her office can locate Tinsman filings and quote plain or certified copies. Staff can also explain the counter or mail process. Search ARCourts may show Tinsman parties, Docket Entries, Future Events, judgments, and selected documents. It is not a certified file. Treat it as a starting point.
Juvenile and other restricted Tinsman records may not be public. For an older circuit matter, ask whether the index is electronic, paper, microfilm, or archived. A year and case type narrow the search fast.
